Fundatory + Road Trip

Today was the official start of our vacation! So after getting the car all packed and ready to go, there was just a little matter of mandatory fun for work first - the annual pig roast. We had a little lunch,

saw some wildlife (if only I'd brought the better camera with the telephoto lens),

and watched/played a little volleyball.

With the obligations out of the way we got on the road. Before we got too far we came upon someone who was having a REALLY bad day.

The car fire was so hot it felt like it would melt the windows when we drove passed, and emergency crews arrived the same time as us (everyone was okay).

Turns out we were taking our trip the same weekend as the Sturgis Rally - we saw a lot of this.
