Better than mice

I'm sorry if my posts about our wildlife are boring to you, but I grew up in a place where the only critters you would find were sand puppies, spiders and maybe some field mice, so having real wildlife living in my backyard fascinates me. Every. time. And I'm going to share.

We got a suet feeder and the birds that have started to come around are amazing. Here are a few that I was able to actually take pictures of.

The last one is one of our baby barn swallows, they're only flight feathers now - no more down.

We found this sort of strange looking one too that was really hard to photograph, every time I got out the camera it would fly away, but I captured it eventually.

I think this next one may be the female version of the last one.

 

We've also had a few more visits from this little family.
